Eric Wiberg is a licensed maritime attorney with global command and fleet operation experience over a 20+-year maritime career.
As an executive recruiter he built a niche focusing on the shipping industry at RSR Partners. Mr. Wiberg has founded, run and sold the following companies;
Between 1995 and 1998, he was a Chartering Operations Officer for the Rhode Island-based B&H / Navinvest shipowning group in Singapore. He operated nine Protrans tankers worldwide. Capt. Wiberg has logged over 90,000 nautical miles aboard roughly 100 vessels. Mr. Wiberg earned his B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, including a course on EU law in Lisbon, Portugal. He earned a Masters in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island. He is an honorary Governor of Harris Manchester College, Oxford, which he attended for one year. Mr. Wiberg speaks verbal Spanish and rudimentary Scandinavian, German, and French. His maritime work and travels have taken him to roughly 70 countries and island groups and around the world four times. He has lived for at least a year in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. The author of eight self-published collections of writing, he is a Swedish and US citizen. He and his wife Alexandra and son Felix live in Norwalk, Connecticut.
